Automate the follow-ups (consent-safe)

A dunning ladder that nudges at 3, 7 and 14 days and stops on payment; workflow rules that fire once per event; sequences for the longer nurture — with consent deciding every send.

Chasing is a machine’s job. Set the ladder once and overdue invoices get a nudge at 3 days, a firmer one at 7 and a final notice at 14 — stopping the moment the money lands, and always respecting consent and quiet hours.

  1. Turn on Automation

Enable the module under Approvals & automation; the ready-made dunning ladder ships with it.
  2. Let workflow rules do the routine

Pick an event — invoice raised, payment received, invoice overdue — and the actions to run. Each rule fires once per event, every run logged, so nothing double-sends.
  3. Sequence the longer nurture

For leads that need warming, email sequences enrol and step automatically — every send still passes the consent checkpoint.
