An email sequence is a set of follow-up emails on a day schedule — day 0 welcome, day 3 nudge, day 7 offer. Enrol a contact once and Finocket sends each step automatically, consent-checking every single one. An unsubscribe stops the rest instantly.
How do I build a sequence?
- On Campaigns, open the sequences area and create a sequence.
- Add steps: each step is an email (subject + body) with a day offset — the number of days after enrolment it should send. Day 0 sends on enrolment day, day 3 three days later, and so on.
- Enrol contacts. Each enrolment tracks that one contact's progress through the steps.
- Finocket's scheduler checks due steps and sends them — you don't press anything again.
Does every step really get consent-checked?
Yes. A sequence step is not “pre-approved” by the enrolment: every send passes the same send checkpoint as a campaign — consent state, suppression list, template rules. If a contact unsubscribes after step 2, steps 3 onward are blocked and logged, not sent. Consent at enrolment time never grandfathers a send made after consent was withdrawn.
How does a sequence stop?
An enrolment ends in one of these states, visible on the enrolment:
- Completed — every step sent; the natural finish.
- Stopped — unsubscribed — the contact opted out; all remaining steps cancel immediately.
- Stopped — manually — you stopped this enrolment yourself (deal closed, they became a client, wrong list).
- Stopped — replied — reserved for reply-detection; today, if someone replies, stop the enrolment manually so they don't get an automated nudge mid-conversation.
Stopping is per-enrolment: ending one contact's run doesn't touch anyone else's, and the sequence itself stays available for future enrolments.
When should I use a sequence instead of a campaign?
A campaign is one message to many people at once — an announcement, an offer. A sequence is many messages to one person over time, started whenever they enter it — new-lead follow-up, onboarding, a quote chase. Rule of thumb for an Indian SMB: enquiries from your forms and QR codes deserve a sequence; a Diwali offer to your whole list is a campaign.
Who can manage sequences?
Owners and assistants build sequences and enrol or stop contacts; accountants are read-only. Sequences live inside the outreach module — if it's off in Modules & features, the routes refuse access.
