The client portal is one branded link your client keeps forever: everything they owe you, everything they've paid, and everything waiting for their yes — no client login or password to manage; the link itself is the key.
Share the portal
Open any client and use the Share portal action — copy the link or send it over WhatsApp in one tap. The link is a private magic link unique to that client, so treat it like the client's own key. Reminder messages Finocket sends carry the portal link too, so clients always have a way back to it.
What your client sees
- Balance hero — the total they currently owe you, front and centre.
- Open invoices with pay actions — each open invoice (or its next open installment, if it carries a payment schedule) with a way to pay it: a Pay via UPI link and QR code (see below), plus the Razorpay payment link where enabled.
- Estimates to accept or decline — anything waiting for a yes: Review & accept records a typed-name acceptance with a timestamp, or Decline captures a short reason. Either way you're notified, and a declined estimate shows its reason back on your side so you know what to re-quote.
- Payment history — every payment they've made, so “did that transfer go through?” stops being a chat thread.
- Statement of account, right in the portal — an opening balance, every invoice and payment as a debit/credit line with a running balance, and a closing balance. They can set a from/to period and download the CSV for exactly that range — the numbers match your in-app statement to the paisa.
- Your custom fields, where you flag them — any invoice or estimate custom field marked Show on portal appears on that document in the portal; fields not flagged stay private and never show.
The portal is branded with your business name, logo and accent colour — it looks like yours, not like software.
Pay by UPI — scan or tap
When you've saved a UPI ID (VPA) in your business settings, every open INR invoice in the portal shows a Pay via UPI button and a QR code. The customer scans the QR with any UPI app, or taps the button on their phone to open their own UPI app pre-filled with your UPI ID and the exact balance still due — total minus anything already paid, down to the paisa. The same UPI QR also prints on the invoice PDF, so it works whether they're looking at the portal or a printout.
This is a direct UPI transfer, not a card charge: nothing is debited by Finocket and no gateway sits in the middle — the money moves from the customer's UPI app straight to your account, and you record the payment the usual way when it lands. No UPI ID saved means no button appears (never a dead link), and a fully-paid invoice shows no pay-now at all.
Run a statement of account
On your side, open the client and choose Statement: an opening balance for the period, every invoice and payment as a debit/credit line with a running balance, and ageing buckets showing how old the unpaid amounts are. Print it or download the CSV — it's the document a client's accounts team asks for before releasing a payment, ready in one tap. The client's Ledger view gives you the same debit/credit run for browsing day to day, with foreign-currency amounts converted at your stored FX rates.
Access & control
Owners and assistants can share portal links and run statements; an invited accountant can view and download statements read-only. The portal page itself is public to whoever holds the link — share it only with the client it belongs to.
