Finocket tracks your personal money too. Log every income — salary, interest, rent, freelance — with the TDS deducted, record each investment, and watch a live 80C progress bar toward the ₹1,50,000 limit. If you sign up as an individual, these modules are on by default.
How do I record my income in Finocket?
Open Income from the home screen (or turn it on in Profile → Modules & features). The page shows two summary cards — Total income and TDS deducted — so you always know what's been withheld to reconcile against Form 26AS.
To add an entry:
- Tap Add income (or go to Add → Income).
- Pick a source: salary, interest, rent, dividends, capital gains, freelance, business, pension, gift or other.
- Enter a description, the amount and the date.
- If tax was deducted at source (say 10% under 194J on a freelance payment), enter the TDS amount.
- Add notes if you like, then save. Entries save offline too — you'll see a “Saved offline” toast and it syncs later.
To remove an entry, use delete on the list (it asks you to confirm). Entries can't be edited yet — delete and re-add if you make a mistake.
How do I track my investments and 80C?
Open Investments. Two cards sit on top: Total invested, and 80C eligible with a progress bar against the ₹1,50,000 Section 80C limit — so before March you can see exactly how much room is left.
- Tap Add investment.
- Choose the type: ELSS, mutual funds, stocks, NPS, PPF, EPF, FD, RD, gold/SGB, bonds, insurance or other.
- Name it (e.g. “Axis ELSS SIP”), enter the amount, units or grams, and date.
- The 80C eligible switch is pre-set sensibly for the type (on for ELSS/PPF/EPF/NPS, off for stocks) — flip it if your case differs.
- Save. Delete works with a confirm; there's no edit screen yet.
Finocket records what you invested (cost). It doesn't fetch current market value or returns yet.
Who can see and change this?
You (the owner) and any assistant you've invited can add and delete entries. An accountant you invite sees everything read-only — a banner reminds them. Turn the Income and Investments modules on or off any time in Profile → Modules & features; individuals get them by default.
